Our Basic Life Support (BLS) course at Leisure Security Training Organisation provides crucial, practical instruction to enable students to act swiftly and efficiently in life-threatening circumstances. Participants learn the basics of CPR, the chain of survival, and how to safely use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) in about 30 minutes.

This course equips healthcare professionals, caregivers, first responders, and office workers with the knowledge and skills necessary to take prompt action in cardiac or respiratory emergencies—when every second counts.

  • Understand the chain of survival and its importance in emergency response
  • Carry out a primary survey using the DRSABC approach
  • Deliver effective adult CPR
  • Use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) safely and correctly
  • Place a casualty in the recovery position
  • Manage a casualty who is choking
  • Recognise and treat a casualty in cardiac arrest
  • Understand when and how to summon emergency services
