Our two-day Paediatric First Aid course at Leisure Security Training Organisation offers thorough instruction to anyone in charge of the protection and care of infants and kids. After 12 hours of interesting, hands-on instruction, participants gain the self-assurance to handle a variety of pediatric crises.

Duration - 2 Days (12 contact hours)

• Delivered face-to-face in the classroom
• Practical demonstrations, roleplay, and group activities

• Baby, child & adult CPR manikins
• AED training units
• Bandages, slings, and paediatric first aid kits
• Choking vest / child-specific simulation equipment
• EpiPen trainer

What you will learn

By the end of the course, learners will be able to…
  • Understand the roles and responsibilities of a paediatric first aider
  • Conduct a primary survey for infants and children
  • Deliver CPR for babies, children, and adults
  • Use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) safely
  • Manage a casualty who is choking (infant, child, adult)
  • Recognise and manage (Asthma & allergic reactions including anaphylaxis, Seizures & febrile convulsions, Shock, Head, neck & spinal injuries, Diabetes & meningitis)
  • Treat bleeding, burns, fractures, sprains, and dislocations
  • Provide first aid for eye injuries and poisoning
  • Deal with minor injuries (cuts, grazes, bruises)
  • Record incidents in line with EYFS and Ofsted requirements
