What you will learn
- Recognise the difference between minor and life-threatening bleeding
- Apply direct pressure and dressings to control bleeding effectively
- Perform wound packing using gauze and haemostatic agents
- Apply and manage a tourniquet correctly and safely
- Monitor a casualty for signs of shock and deterioration
- Recognise when advanced medical help is required and act accordingly
